1. Why Did TXSE Become Breaking News?

On September 25, 2025, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) officially “greenlit” the establishment of the Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE), scheduled to launch in Dallas in 2026. At first glance, it may seem like just another new exchange, but in a U.S. financial market long dominated by the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) and Nasdaq, this was headline-worthy news.

In the investment world, everyone knows the NYSE as the powerhouse for legacy companies with trillions in market capitalization, while Nasdaq is home turf for the tech giants—Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon. So what room is there for a newcomer like TXSE?

The difference lies in its roots: TXSE is backed by major investment funds in Texas, with the ambition to turn Dallas into a new financial hub—a “counterbalance” to New York. Texas is already famous for oil, energy, and real estate. Now it wants its own version of “Wall Street” right in the heart of the American South.
