1. Introduction: A Collaboration That Drew Attention

On October 3, 2025, the technology and social media markets were abuzz with news that Rumble—a video platform seen as a potential challenger to YouTube—had announced a partnership with Perplexity AI. The main goal: to integrate intelligent search tools into the platform and launch a new subscription package that combines video + AI.

Right after the announcement, Rumble’s stock surged. Analysts described this as a strategic move to help Rumble differentiate itself from giants like YouTube, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter). More than just another tech feature, this partnership was seen as an attempt to tackle Rumble’s biggest “constraint”: keeping users engaged and turning them into paying subscribers.

From the perspective of OPEX – Operational Excellence, we can raise several questions:

• Why did Rumble choose to invest heavily in smart search?

• Is this really their way of addressing the “bottleneck” in operations?

• And more importantly: what lessons can businesses—from large corporations to SMEs—draw from this?
