During the 2025–2026 period, Dell Technologies is publicly positioning artificial intelligence (AI) as a strategic pillar in both its business model and enterprise operating model. Through official statements from senior leadership, particularly insights shared by the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the executive team, Dell emphasizes that AI is not merely a supporting technology, but a force capable of reshaping how enterprises organize work, allocate resources, and operate systems at scale.

According to Dell’s disclosed strategic direction, AI will increasingly take responsibility for routine, repetitive, and high-volume tasks within the enterprise. These tasks include data processing, technical support, infrastructure management, operational analytics, and process automation. The core objective of this approach is not to replace human workers, but to free human capacity from operational execution, allowing people to focus on decision-making, system design, business model innovation, and customer relationship management—activities that carry higher strategic value.

One theme consistently emphasized in Dell’s official communications is the role of the hybrid AI–cloud model. Dell does not pursue a purely cloud-based AI strategy, nor does it confine AI to traditional on-premise infrastructure. Instead, the company defines the future of enterprise AI as a hybrid model, where AI is flexibly deployed across on-premise environments, private clouds, and public clouds, depending on performance, cost, security, and compliance requirements.

Dell believes that a hybrid AI–cloud approach enables enterprises to accelerate operational responsiveness, reduce data-processing latency, and increase automation across the entire system. AI tools are expected to be used for system monitoring, resource demand forecasting, early detection of operational risks, and data-driven decision support. This indicates that Dell views AI as an embedded component of the operating system, rather than as an isolated layer of technology.

From a business strategy standpoint, AI is also directly linked to Dell’s product and service development roadmap. The company is expanding its portfolio of AI infrastructure solutions, including AI-optimized servers, data storage systems, and platforms that support enterprise-scale AI deployment. Dell identifies these initiatives as part of a long-term strategy aimed at addressing the growing demand from enterprise customers for practical AI deployment, cost control, and operational efficiency.

Dell’s official messaging does not portray AI as an instant technological revolution, but rather as a controlled, step-by-step transformation unfolding throughout 2025–2026 and beyond. The focus of this transformation is the development of new operational capabilities, where AI helps enterprises manage increasing workloads, enhance organizational flexibility, and improve overall operational performance.

Based on Dell’s publicly disclosed information, AI is positioned as a key factor in reshaping enterprise business and operating strategies by 2026. The emphasis is not on technological demonstration, but on integrating AI into infrastructure, processes, and operating models, enabling organizations to adapt more effectively to an environment defined by high costs, heightened volatility, and increasingly stringent efficiency requirements.
