Part 1: Official Statement – Ricoh Company, Ltd. Launches “RICOH Intelligent Automation,” Ushering Enterprise Operations into the Automation Era
On October 28, 2025, Ricoh Company, Ltd. officially announced the launch of its RICOH Intelligent Automation platform — a global SaaS solution powered by artificial intelligence (AI) designed to help businesses enhance operational efficiency and productivity by automating tasks such as extracting and reading information from business documents, connecting key operational systems, and managing and utilizing data more effectively.
According to the official press release published on Ricoh’s corporate website, this platform represents a strategic milestone in Ricoh’s expansion into the Process Automation (PA) field, enabling the company to move toward providing autonomous operations capabilities for its global customer base.
The current business environment shows a clear shift: as labor costs and operational data volumes continue to rise, manual and repetitive processes have become increasingly inefficient and error-prone. Ricoh’s introduction of this automation platform reflects a broader global trend — the transition from manual operations to intelligent operations. By automating critical back-office tasks such as document processing, data validation, and system integration, organizations can achieve higher accuracy, shorter cycle times, and greater scalability.
Within the context of digital transformation and agile operations, Ricoh’s move sends a strong message: automation is not merely about applying new technology, but about redesigning the way organizations operate — shifting from disjointed manual processes to standardized, automated, and continuously monitored systems.
In other words, the future of business operations does not lie solely in reducing costs or increasing speed, but in standardizing processes, implementing automation intelligently, and leveraging data for faster and more informed decision-making.
